About Highstock
Highstock is a B2B marketplace connecting brands with surplus inventory to high quality bulk buyers. Highstock uses technology to maximize value and ensure that transactions are not brand dilutive for brands. We're fast-growing and committed to reducing waste at scale by injecting technology into the age-old off-price industry. Highstock is backed by Greylock Partners
About the Role
We’re hiring our first dedicated recruiter to build the hiring function from the ground up. You’ll work directly with the founder and hiring managers across Growth, Operations, and Engineering to source, screen, and close talent as we scale post-Series A.
This is a true founding role — you’ll design the process as you go, not inherit one. It’s suited for someone who wants full ownership of recruiting at an early-stage company and enjoys moving fast without much structure to lean on yet.
Responsibilities
- Own full-cycle recruiting across functions — sourcing, screening, interview coordination, and closing
- Partner directly with the founder and hiring managers to scope roles and define hiring criteria
- Build Highstock’s recruiting infrastructure from scratch: ATS setup, interview scorecards, sourcing channels, and candidate pipeline processes
- Proactively source passive candidates for hard-to-fill and leadership roles
- Manage candidate experience end-to-end, representing Highstock’s brand and culture to every applicant
- Track and report on hiring metrics (pipeline, time-to-fill, offer acceptance) to leadership
- Help shape early employer branding and careers content as the team grows
Qualifications
- 3-8 years of full-cycle recruiting experience, ideally including in-house at an early-stage startup
- Comfortable building process from zero — no team or tooling to inherit
- Strong judgment for assessing talent across very different functions (commercial, technical, operational)
- Excellent communicator who can represent an early-stage company credibly to senior candidates
- High ownership mentality; thrives with autonomy and ambiguity
- Genuine interest in how AI tools can accelerate sourcing and screening
Highstock, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
