About Highstock
Highstock is a B2B marketplace connecting brands with surplus inventory to high quality bulk buyers. Highstock uses technology to maximize value and ensure that transactions are not brand dilutive for brands. We're fast-growing and committed to reducing waste at scale by injecting technology into the age-old off-price industry. Highstock is backed by Greylock Partners
About the Role
Highstock is hiring a Head of Operations / General Manager to own the day-to-day engine of the business — fulfillment, logistics, and the operational systems that let us scale without breaking. You'll partner directly with the founder and be accountable for orders shipping on time, for 3PLs performing, and for the operational backbone holding up as volume grows. This is a high-ownership role for someone who wants to run the business day-to-day, with real accountability for outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end fulfillment operations, from warehouse receipt through final delivery, across our 3PL network
- Manage and scale relationships with 3PL partners — negotiating terms, holding them to SLAs, and bringing on new partners as we expand
- Define and own the operational metrics that matter — on-time fulfillment, cost per order, error rates — and build the systems to track and improve them
- Identify and fix bottlenecks before they become customer-facing problems
- Build and manage the operations team as we scale headcount
- Own monthly operational reviews, reporting performance and flagging risks early
- Act as a force multiplier across the company — unblocking teams and keeping operations running as we move into new categories (apparel, and beyond)
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in operations, supply chain, or logistics, with meaningful time spent running operations inside a high-growth startup or marketplace
- Direct experience managing 3PL relationships and fulfillment networks: you know what good looks like and how to hold partners accountable
- Track record of owning ambiguous, cross-functional problems and driving them to measurable outcomes
- Comfortable working with data directly (SQL a plus) to diagnose issues and track performance
- Strong people leadership: experience building and managing an operations team
- Excellent communication skills; able to operate at all altitudes, from warehouse floor to founder
- Bias toward action, comfort with ambiguity, and a true GM mindset — you treat the business like it's yours
